Booked two days before travel. When we arrived at reception, we found we had been upgraded to a superior room with a balcony and view of Edinburgh Castle.
Large room, beautiful view of castle. Our room overlooked Grassmarket, which made it noisy at times but hotel provides ear plugs. Bath and separate walk in shower. Large bed with good pillows.
Excellent breakfast included in price. Cooked breakfast was made to order plus there was a full breakfast buffet, served on top floor restaurant with castle views.
Large wall-mounted plasma TV
We were offered complimentary drinks in the hotel bar when the receptionist learn't it was our wedding anniversary.
We able to park in the hotel carpark for £8/24 hrs
“ Top Tip: Excellent Indian tapas-style food at Mother India on Infirmary Street, about 12mins level walk from the hotel. Delicious food very reasonable priced, booking recommended.
