“ Top Tip: BEFORE YOU GO OUT TAKE A MAP FROM RECEPTION SO YOU DONT GET LOST AS ITS A BIT LIKE A MAZE

“ stayed on a friday night , with our 9 yr old son - and cant fault this hotel . Room was spacious and very very nice , newly refurbished , flat screen tv very clean . Staff were great , friendly and very helpful , put up the sofa bed for us when house keeping forgot , late at night . hotel is in a good place straight out to shops and cafes , bars etc , 10 minute walk to princess st or Edinburgh castle . yet in a very quiet location , couldnt hear anything at night . breakfast is made to order and was very good - ours was included but its pricey at £12.50 . There is some parking available , we were lucky to get one , otherwise its the car park nearby - think its discounted at £15 . got a good rate from travelrepublic , and the hotel made our saty in Edinburgh , would recommend.

“ The hotel was very clean and modern, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were only a 10 minute walk from princess street, the castle, and some very good bars and restaurants. I would most definatley stay in this hotel again.

“ Top Tip: The rutland bar & restaurant served excellent food. Edinburgh castle is a must see visitor attraction and there are various coffee shops and cafes around the site.

“ The rooms were fine in the hotel as was the breakfast other than that there really was nothing else. The lounge area not good and bar tiny. Good for a place to sleep. Asked the man at the bar for a dash of lemonade for my lager and he said I had to buy a bottle!
