Hotel is in a quiet street a good 15 mins walk from the west end of Princes Street.
Room quite large with an extremely big bed! (Both in area and height), but very comfortable with "proper" pillows and two separate duvet (strange, but no fighting over who has all the bed covers!!!)
Large bathroom with shower over bath, WHB and toilet. We requested a Jacuzzi bath as there were offered as available at a no charge extra. We didn't get one and there was no mention or apology from the hotel management which would have been nice.
Apart from that the staff were very, very helpful and friendly and happy to suggest somewhere to visit or to eat.
We used the hotel restaurant once for an evening meal, very good food, hot and well presented, PS the pork terrine starter is to die, for we also ate in the bar for a couple of meals and the standard was the same.
Cooked breakfast was served in the conservatory and you had to order at your table as to what you wanted, but cereals etc were buffet style.
We would use the hotel again, but a word of warning - there is very little parking in the area for non city residents if you are taking your car.
A tip is to ring the hotel and ask for one of their discount/loyalty cards to be sent to you prior to your visit this gives you 20% discount of the bill for all meals in the hotel inc. drinks!!!

Top Tip:
A visit to "Dynamic Earth" is a must a really good and quite cheap for what you get I won't describe it look it up.
We found a very nice mexican "cantina" called the Blue Parrot Cantina just about 20 mins walk from the hotel but not in the town centre. Food made and cooked on the premises, very good. Booking essential as it is very small only 20 covers!
