“ I felt that this hotel was fairly average considering the price. The location is great but the staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful. Room was quite small and the breakfast was sub standard in my opinion.
“ Top Tip: Tex Mex 2 on Thistle street is a lovely restaurant and The Queens Head which is near to it is a good bar for pre dinner drinks. The Haggis and Whiskey House, quite near to the castle does amazing Haggis!

“ Have stayed twice in the Roxburgh Hotel - very good location (right next to George Street, Rose Street and Princes Street) all with all the shops you could want and need, and restaurants and bars for all tastes. And minutes walk to Edinburgh Castle/Royal Mile. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are fantastic with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Will definately be staying again in the future.
“ Top Tip: Rose Street and George Street have a miriad of Restaurants and bars - would recommend Element (bar on Rose Street), All Bar One on George Street for Prosecco and lovely pub food, and Hard Rock Cafe on George Street has the best food and cocktails!

“ Fabulous hotel, great location, lots on offer at hotel and nearby. I'd definitely stay there again.
“ Top Tip: Good location, near to castle, shops, nice restaurants and bars. A 30 second walk from Brown's restaurant. Lovely food and atmosphere, would definitely recommend this to anyone. Make sure you book a table in advance - and look out for discount offers online.
