Didn't seem to have a lift so access of the bedrooms might be a problem.
Well out of town, you would need transport to get any where.
However having said that it was what was on the tin, a reasonably priced hotel for a B & B.
I had work to do so I didn't want to drink - there is a cocktail bar which I didn't explore. There is a dining room which I didn't use.
If I was going to be back working in the same place I'd probably use the hotel again.
The Breakfast was fine, no Muesli is the only complaint, the rest fine.
The Room was warm. There was a bucket catching a leak through a sky light outside my door, but it was of no consequence.

“ Top Tip: The Battlefield Rest in Langside..got there by taxi...Beautiful Italian restaurant..Great food!..Busy place, so I advise booking first.

Why pay more than you have to Youre in town to explore the city or to go shopping catch up with friends maybe see a band or go to the football not to spend time in an expensive hotel room. We can offer you most of what the big hotel chains do anyway.... just with twice the fun and half the price. Breakfast is included as well. We have comfortable rooms for 1-14 people family rooms and disabled rooms all with en-suite facilities fresh linen and lockers for secure storage. We have a great bar Osmosis with cheap prices and daily specials. During the day we're showing your favourite sporting events and at night we party with guest DJs or live bands. All our twin rooms have coin operated TV's at a tiny £1.00 per day. We have a guest kitchen to cook your own meals and save a bundle two TV rooms with huge TV and SKY Chill-out room secure luggage and bike store FREE WiFi Internet access and a guest laundry. What more could you ask for Oh yeah weve got that too pool tables and 24 hour drink sales from...
“ Fine if you are a student! This is the only hotel that I have ever had to make my own bed as in put sheets on the bed, which in fact was a bunk bed. Lol. It is a hostel, after all.

For evening entertainment Sauchiehall Street is just a 2 minute walk and provides some of the best nightlife the city has to offer. The Alexander Thomson Hotel is historic Victorian era building which forms the Architectural landscape of the city. The Hotel has very high ceilings and very high windows from that era and every effort is put in to retain as much originality as possible. Most Rooms are quite large and so are the Bathrooms. The Rooms are recently refurbished and have all the basic amenities required by a business traveler or a tourist. NEW: Free wifi access in all Rooms. Traditional Scottish Breakfast is included in the price and there is a Bar which opens till the wee hours of the morning only for the Hotel Guests. There is a very quite lounge for people to sit and relax which also has a free wi fi internet access for the residents only. Come and enjoy the beautiful city and our warm and friendly service. Complimentary teacoffee and mineral water direct dial telephone Flat Screen TV's with digital freeview channels Iron and Ironing Board and hairdryers etc ensure a very comfortable stay.

The Rennie Mackintosh Station Hotel is one of the oldest Victorian buildings in Glasgow and forms part of the Architectural Landscape of the city. As the name suggests the Hotel has many features in connection with Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Over the years the hotel has been refurbished but always with an eye to keeping the Mackintosh era alive also every effort is made to retain as much originality as possible. Unfortunately because the hotel is of a Victorian era there is no passenger lift but we ensure our guests have every assistance with their luggage by prior request.
