“ Excellent hotel situated halfway between the SECC and the shops of Argyle/Buchanan Street. The staff were lovely and we had a nice big room. It was also very well soundproofed being so near the motorway. The food was good as well. Had air con too which was a nice bonus.

the hotel and room were very impressive. strange smell in room, went out to dinner and on return thought 'really strange smell in this room'. during the night the smell was awful, damp or damp plus drains. in the morning I discovered the carpet between my bed and the wall to the bathroom was sodden. went to reception to tell them about this and I was told 'oh, I'll make a note of that'. I continued on my way and at my next stop when I opened my suitcase all my clothes had retained a memory of the Menzies Glasgow.
think I was too British, ought to have dragged staff back to room to smell for themselves.
