“ We were on a bed and breakfast deal, breakfast was buffet style which was quite good but nothing special. We also had dinner on Sunday evening, as good a steak that I have had in ages. For me I would have preferred a firmer bed, but my wife had no bother getting to sleep. All in all good value for money.

Has all that is really needed, especially for customers who might just be passing through Glasgow.
Good, secure parking and within 500 metres on foot to main shopping area/street and wthin 1000 metres of the rest of the city centre which lies on the other side of the River Clyde, with a main bridge opposite the hotel facade. Easy walk to the Merchant City, the People's Palace on Glasgow Green and the remnants of the medieval part of the city. Each of the major football grounds are located 3 or 4 Kilometres from the hotel. Two Underground stations within easy reach on foot.
Friendly, helpful staff. Adequate food facilities, with breakfast particularly diverse and generous for the price.
Have stayed here many times......I am a Glaswegian who was reared and lived in the city centre and who still visits the city frequently. I do find this Premier Inn very convenient for motorway access in and out of the city. All motorways ( M8 and M74) can be reached within 800 metres from the street in which the hotel stands.
“ Top Tip: Park up and leave the car at the hotel. Glasgow has an excellent public transport system.....Underground, buses and the biggest urban rail network in the UK outside of London. You can get to anywhere easily without the hassle of driving.

“ The hotel was a pleasant place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the pond nearby was a nice place to have a wander. However one big DISAPPOINTMENT was that we booked the hotel due to its being advertised online as having a pool and spa area.

Ideally located in Glasgow's Merchant City this newly refurbished hotel is surrounded by an abundance of culture. From exclusive designer shops including Ralph Lauren and Jaeger to a huge range of great bars and restaurants it's easy to see why Glasgow was recently described as one of the most vibrant cities in Europe. For guests looking to absorb the local history and culture you'll also find a great range of galleries and museums to suit all tastes and interests. Mercure Glasgow City is perfectly placed to see it all. Just ten miles from Glasgow Airport a five minute walk from Glasgow Central and Queen Street Station and the main high street everything you need is within easy reach.
“ Central for all amenities and friendly staff who could not do enough to help. One criticism is that we did think the rooms were much too hot to sleep comfortably in, and we could not control air flow in any way.
