The Rennie Mackintosh Station Hotel is one of the oldest Victorian buildings in Glasgow and forms part of the Architectural Landscape of the city. As the name suggests the Hotel has many features in connection with Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Over the years the hotel has been refurbished but always with an eye to keeping the Mackintosh era alive also every effort is made to retain as much originality as possible. Unfortunately because the hotel is of a Victorian era there is no passenger lift but we ensure our guests have every assistance with their luggage by prior request. Rooms have got Flat screen TV's complimentary mineral water cookies and tea coffee making facilities. The rooms vary in size from a single to a family room depending on your needs and all have ensuite bathrooms. The rooms have all the basic amenities required by a business traveller or a tourist. Traditional Scottish Breakfast is included in the price and there is a 24 hour bar to accommodate hotel guests if required. There is a very quiet lounge for people to sit and relax which also has a free wi fi internet access for the residents only.Come and enjoy the beautiful city and our warm and friendly service.

“ Very good value for money. Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good. Cleanliness generally good although the bathroom floor could have been cleaner in the nooks and crannies. Water pressure poor so shower was not the best although water nice and hot (what little there was). Generous welcome tray.Stairs were steep and numerous but we were aware of this before we booked. Hotel quiet but there is street noise which may be a problem for some. Fantastic location for central Glasgow.
“ Top Tip: The Goose across the street was a good pub. You have to vacate the hotel at 10.30am but our train wasn't due till 1pm so we put our luggage at the left-luggage in Central Station - £3.00 for 3 hours for each item. That gave us extra time to sightsee without the bother of carrying luggage and shopping. Co-op on corner is handy.

“ A lot of stairs to encounter as soon as you enter. No lift installed in this slightly tired looking hotel and all bedrooms are on higher floors. Dining room was clean and breakfast was plentiful and hot. Helpful staff. Beds were good and the shower was brand new. Good value and very good location.
“ Top Tip: Right next to Glasgow Central Station and right in the middle of the city, so expect noise but great for onward travel or base for sightseeing rest of Glasgow/Central Scotland.

This hotel is in need of a major makeover.
My room was next to reception which was very noisy, the door was a good 1-2 inches above floor level which let in the cold and noise at all times.
Sunday morning saw the cleaner hoovering the reception area at 7:30am.
“ Top Tip: The Goose Public House across the street from hotel sells good food at very reasonable prices.
