As a result of a major renovation project, together with the personal touches and attentive service that come with a family-run hotel, the Cobo Bay Hotel was the first 3-star hotel on the island to hold a Visit Guernsey Gold Award, with an overall rating of 86%. Their stylish restaurant and al fresco Beach Terrace also continually win recognition for the quality of food & service, including a Visit Guernsey Breakfast Award and two AA rosettes for culinary excellence, a feat achieved by only 2 other restaurants on the island in 2010. The 34 en-suite bedrooms offer many of the amenities that you would expect in a 4 or 5 star hotel including plasma screen TV’s with satellite channels, personal safes, bathrobes and slippers. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel, with secure broadband connections in every bedroom. “ Exellent stay we had very nice room overlooking the beach with a balcony. The weather wasnt very good overcast and windy.The breakfast were very good fresh cooked to order and served to the table.The hotel is very clean with no funny smells. The one downside is the car park it is very uneven and unmade with potholes and a fifty yard walk to reception. One more thing the bed was very comfortable and huge. All in all a very nice 4 day break.
“ Top Tip: The Resturant Crabbie Jacks was very good I had a T bone Steak it was as big as the plate and very tender.Also worth a visit is the Falcon Carvery very nice meal.Both close by within five minuets by car.

Cobo Bay Hotel is a small hotel but the room was spotless and the service was faultless. The hotel restaurant served excellent food at breakfast and on the evenings that we dined there. The sandy beach is directly across the coast road, which is not a problem as the speed limit is 25mph (35mph is the maximum anywhere) and most drivers are very courteous. I would recommend a room with balcony as the sunsets are breathtaking.

“ Top Tip: Take a walk along the coast, going south - you can walk on the road or the beeches (if the tide is out!)
