Harrogate train station is an easy three minute walk away and Leeds Bradford Airport is a 20 minute drive away. The Harrogate International centre is only a 3 minute walk making the hotel an ideal accommodation and entertaining venue for events held at the HIC.This 3 star hotel has a selection of bedrooms to offer our guests from practical functional singles to feature suites boasting original architecture. Many of the 80 bedrooms have impressive views of the main urban old town of Harrogate. This is a town centre hotel so we are in the midst of town and a stones throw away from many of Harrogate thriving bars and restaurants.The Hotels bar and Brasserie HG1 has a high street style and is very popular with both our guests and the local residents of Harrogate.Situated at the top of the hotel on the 5th floor is Rooftops a gem of a venue boasting some of the best views in town and a wonderful venue for weddings private partiesdinners and meetings. I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for the bank holiday weekend in May.
Previous reviews advise the hotel is extremely run down and not up to standard.
However, this is NOT the case.
Upon arrival, the receptionist did everything she could to make us feel welcome. We were offered a room at the front of the hotel as we questioned where our room would be. This room was lovely and very spacious.
I do agree that the hotel could do with a little refurbishment in certain areas but nothing major to complain about. The skirting boards and paint work in some areas could do with touching up but overall I think the room is very clean and up to standard. This is the only thing that lets the hotel down, as I think the overall experience was great. Breakfast was nice and so was the hotel bar.
This hotel is in the centre of harrogate and close to everything you may need.
Great hotel, Great staff .. loved Harrogate
Definitely stay again.

“ I was unsure about this hotel after i had seen comments a couple of days before my stay, but when i got their my fears were gone. I found the hotel staff very helpful and although the room was a little dated it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and would certainly book it again.
“ Top Tip: THE VERY FAMOUS BETTY'S TEASHOP WAS JUST ACROSS THE ROAD SOMETHING NOT TO BE MISSED. SHOPS EASY WALKING DISTANCE[TO EASY HA HA] INTERNATIONAL CENTRE LESS THAN 10 MINUTES WALK AWAY IF YOU DON'T LOKK IN EVERY SHOP ON THE WAY DOWN.

“ Have stayed at this hotel before but feel it has gone downhill since. We couldn't get parked, the room only had one towel in it and shower gel had ran out then breakfast was cold. It is such a shame as the hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and helpful and it is in an ideal location but little things are spoiling it. I did not, on this occasion, find it value for money, in fact feel like it was only actually worth half of what we paid.
