“ Stayed half board. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice.Cooked,cereals.toast.etc. Evening meal was a set menu of 3courses. Very limited and portions were small,which suited me but my husband wasn't full!! Hotel impressive as you walk in and is very old.

“ Staff were exceptionally welcoming on arrival and very helpful with good local knowledge. I stayed in a single room for one night; clean, tidy, compact, wouldn't win any design awards, but had everything you need. Very good value. Would stay there again. My only concern would be the number of twists and turns and small sets of stairs for people with more limited mobility.

“ the rooms were very comfortable and were a good size for singles. breakfast was as you would expect in a 4 star hotel. All the staff without exception were very friendly and polite. Only problem was quite noisy with several christmas parties going on at the time but this would perhaps not be an issue at other times of the year. all in all a pleasant stay. thank you.

“ I stayed at this hotel for two nights in October. The hotel itself was very clean, rooms were cleaned, beds made daily. The location was great 5 mins from train station, 10 mins to the town, free car parking for guests. The hotel does not have any lifts, for this reason I would not reccomend for older guests unless you are guaranteed on the ground floor, likewise families.
