Set on the west coast of the Isle of Wight overlooking the white cliffs that tumble down into the English Channel this Country House designated non-smoking is within yards of some of the finest walking on the island. Many of the 49 bedrooms have wonderful sea views with others overlooking the gardens and downs (Tennyson Down). The bedrooms are equipped with a hairdryer clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Flatscreen TVs are provided in the bedrooms.Guests can relax in the three lounges and barcoffee lounge or in the heated outdoor swimming pool open from Easter to September inclusive. The barcoffee lounge also has a outdoor patio area. In the grounds there is a children's playground while adults can enjoy putting croquet badminton and tennis. Steps from the gardens lead directly down to the beach. Accommodation through Late Rooms is on a BandB basis. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. A three-course dinner is available on request at a price of £22.95...

“ We really enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Park Hotel even though the weather was terrible the clean room was great, very modern bathroom, the spa was clean and not overcrowded, the staff friendly and helpful and both dinner and breakfast excellent.

“ We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 Grandchildren family room was spacious and hotel very bright and spotless. We used the bar in the evening which was very nice. The hosts were very welcoming and breakfast was good and they 'pandered' to our Grand children's special requests at breakfast very willingly. Would definitely stay again.

Brunswick House is a quality guest house offering bed & breakfast accommodation in the heart of Ventnor. Built over 150 years ago it retains many of its original features. The rooms are spacious and have recently been refurbished to a high standard; we like to cater for people who want to be comfortable when staying in bed and breakfast accommodation.
“ Pleasant and welcoming hosts. Located in the centre of town within about 5-8 minutes' walking distance from the sea. Excellent breakfast. Our double room was rather small. I'm not sure what criteria the star ratings are based upon but personally I would have described this establishment as a good 2 or 3-star guest house. 4 stars gives a false impression of luxury and roominess.
