The Donard Hotel is a welcoming hotel centrally located in the delightful County Down town of Newcastle in the shadows of the Mourne Mountains. Situated on the Main Street our 18 comfortable bedrooms have been tastefully decorated and we have a fully licenced bar and intimate restaurant. We are only a short stroll to the beautiful beach and seafront and a two minute walk from the world famous Royal Co. Down Golf Club.
“ Very friendly and helpful. Decor is dated but we had a good sized room for the price. Noisy street to the front of the hotel due to crowds in Maginns bar late into the night. Decent breakfast and good service.

Family-run hotel overlooking Bangor Marina on the seafront at Bangor County Down Northern Ireland. As the first stage in the re-development of the site as a new state of the art 52 bedroom hotel and apartments the existing Royal Hotel has been down-sized and is called the Windsor Inn. It has 16 ensuite rooms all with teacoffee-making facilities and television. The Windsor Inn has a breakfast room overlooking the marina where a hot and cold continental buffet breakfast is served a restaurant for evening dining a bar for lunch and bar snacks and a beer garden. Radio U105's Carolyn Stewart's Saturday Night Fever Disco operates every Saturday night in the nightclub. “ Loved the Hotel, only thing was, they were refurbishing and we had to go through the bar and up a lot of stairs as there was no lift. The staff were really nice, very friendly and helpful. Wasnt that keen on the self service at breakfast tho, would be nice to just take a seat and have the food brought to the table, was nice nevertheless.
