The matress needed replacing, and was sunken and made noise when getting in and out of bed, but I did sleep OK.
Staff very good, with a smile.
Breakfast was OK, but sausages had the consistency of a soft beef spread !
Great view of the bay from the room, but being on the promenade, had to endure the noise of the drunks passing by on Friday and Saturday night.
“ Top Tip: The steam railway, and the electric railway up to Snaefell. Lovely. Transport from days gone by, beautifully preserved. Ride them both.

“ Excellent hotel, very well refurbished, nice, modern decor. Friendly staff. Room the best we have had - a really good, large double bed. Breakfast was lovely. Perfect location.
“ Top Tip: Very good Italian restaurant called Alesandro's behind the hotel and a good Indian called Curry Lounge towards the port entrance.

“ Very conveniently located in Douglas. The hotel is made from converted terraces so some of the internal corridors are a little rickety. Not a problem but a fair number of short flights of stairs even after using the lift. Not suitable for people with significant mobility problems. Good restuarant with friendly staff and excellent view of the sea/promenade, reasonable selection of food that was good value for money. No dedicated parking available but there is a parking disk system that can be used to park outside the hotel. Not a problem once you have worked out the rules.

“ This is a lovely hotel, recently renovated to a very high standard, even on landings and passageways. We became almost stranded by the volcanic ash on the day of our departure and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful in helping us explore alternatives. The restaurant is light and airy and the breakfast service good.
“ Top Tip: Nothing to add.
