Excellent

Check-in date:

We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 Grandchildren family room was spacious and hotel
very bright and spotless. We used the bar in the evening which was very nice.
The hosts were very welcoming and breakfast was good and they 'pandered' to our Grand children's special requests at breakfast very willingly.
Would definitely stay again.

Top Tip: Caulk head family pub 10 minutes from hotel was great for an evening meal.

Spectacular

Check-in date:

The hotel is run by a very lovely couple who make you very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are spotlessly clean, of a very high standard and a good size. The breakfasts are excellent! I would definately stay at this hotel on my next visit to the Isle of Wight and would recommend it to my friends!

Magnificent

Check-in date:

Sandown itself is a rather tired looking resort. The hotel was absolutely spotless and the owners obviously take great pride in the appearance of their establishment.

Don't bother looking for a culinary experience in Sandown unless you like fast type food. The hotel dinner was plentiful and fairly varied depending on the days you happen to be there. (fixed menu for each day). No hanging around here, as each course is finished the next is in front of you. Recommend Full English for breakfast!!

The owners are lovely people but obviously very busy. Bar area is quite large but not very busy when we were there.

We were intrigued by the notice in the room asking guests to ensure that only one person at a time uses the shower. Have they never heard of conserving water? We didn't like to ask what had occurred. The mind boggles..

We probably wouldn't go to Sandown again, but if we had to, this is where we would stay.

Top Tip: Nice cafe opposite the Zoo area. Fairly long walk from the hotel though.
