This is a wonderful hotel full of faded grandeur. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Although the bar snack & drink prices were higher, than I would have preferred, the quality was excellent.
The light in the lift was not working, but this merely added to the charm of the place.
On the downside: There is insufficient parking. If you have an early start the next morning; I would suggest finding alternative parking because cars can get blocked in by other guests and you can end up 3 or 4 vehicles deep.

Two Wetherspoons' and lots of friendly local pubs in the city centre. Plenty of excellent food available with the cream of the crop being:
Crows (Steaks & Burgers) - Next door.
Imrans (Punjabi buffet-style - cheap) - 2 minutes on foot.
Spaghetti House (Italian) - 7 minutes on foot.
HoneyTree Morecambe (Chinese) - 10 minutes by car.

“ Top Tip: We used the pathways to walk from Lancaster to Morecambe, a very pleasant walk (we got the train back).

“ The booking procedure and the hotel welcome were quick and easy and friendly.Overall our stay was pleasant and happy. A tad noisy at night as the hotel is located in the city centre. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom is big and nice. No remote for the TV set and no good channels to watch. But compared to hotels I stayed in the UK, service and quality were worth the price. I'd give a 7 out of 10.
