3 Star Hotel
The Blenheim Lakeside Hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian Villa overlooking the Boating Lake in Sefton Park, the largest park in Liverpool. It is one of the original detached houses on the perimeter of the park where rich merchants and shipping magnates once lived in style. More modern history confirms that 'The Blenheim' was, in fact, the family home of Stuart Sutcliffe in the 1960s.Stuart's family continued to live here while he was on tour with The Beatles in Hamburg where, tragically, he died.37 Aigburth Drive has moved on - but we still remember our legacy.Contact us. “ Having paid £88 per night, I expected the place to be a bit of a higher standard. It is not in the town centre for a start. The staff were very polite and professional, they more than made up for the surroundings, breakfast was good.

“ Friendly and efficient. A bit of a slog to the top floor, but a nice view over Sefton park from our room.
“ Top Tip: Sefton park is a gem, and a nice place for a walk any time of day. Lark lane is only a ten minute walk away along the endge of Sefton park and had a wide range of places to eat.

“ My friend and I stayed at this hotel on the weekend of the Grand National. Our room was adjacent to the bar. The first night was bad for noise and people being served in the bar up until 3 am had no consideration for other guests with shouting and singing. A man was singing outside our bedroom door and I opened it to ask him to be quiet. After this the man tried to get into our room with his key and refused to move, there was no phone in our room to contact reception so both my friend and myself had to get dressed to go out and get the night porter. We complained the next day to reception who didn't appear interested and said the manager was off on leave but that the function manager would speak to us later. Nobody did. The breakfasts were poor and it took 3 attempts to make decent tea which was put in a flask. It was either cold or weak. Not enough staff to deal with amount of guests. I called the hotel on my return home on the Monday and spoke with the manager then, who said no one had left a note of any complaint, but she would speak to the porter and reception and call me back. She didn't. I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless you are stuck in a crisis. The matresses were very poor with springs almost through. On a positive note, the cleaners were very friendly and nice.
