“ One night stay in a twin en-suite room on third floor reached by several staircases and corridors with no lift. Large room and clean modern shower room better than expected for a budget hotel. The reception area was worn and unfortunately had a pervasive unpleasant smell but the proprieter was helpful with free parking and wi-fi available.

“ It was the cheapest hotel that I knew would come with free internet in the area. I needed the internet to do ongoing online research while I was there . There was also a free full English breakfast that came free in the mornings. There are no lifts and the hallways are narrow, which make carrying luggage through the place a hassle more than it should be. I got a room with a shared bathroom but the bathroom was 3 hallways away. It wasn't horrible but I've been in nicer hotels than this at cheaper rates in England.
“ Top Tip: It's right near the town centre where lots of shopping can be done, along with the bus centre that can connect you easily to most surrounding places.
