“ This was our second stay at this 4* hotel and we will return again. Our city view room was spacious, clean and and comfortable. The service was excellent, particularly from the front-of-house staff. We had problem with a noisy neighbour which was dealt with quietly and efficiently by the Night Duty Manager who visited us the next evening with a card and a complementary bottle of wine: a nice touch. We also received an unexpected reduction in our bill for the Christmas Dinner when we expressed less than our usual complete satisfaction at the quality of the main course. Again, a thoughtful gesture which leaves one feeling that the hotel management really do care about their guests. This time around we ate several times in the Island Grill and were very impressed by the standard of service and the quality and price of both the food and wine: there aren't many restuarants in London where you can enjoy an excellent 3 course dinner with wine and coffee and still see change from £70 and that's including the optional 12.5% service charge!!
“ Top Tip: This hotel is located opposite the Lancaster Gate entrance to Hyde Park-great walks through to Knightsbridge/Buckingham Palace and Park Lane). It benefits from excellent transport links via Lancaster Gate underground (Central Line) and bus services to the West End, Notting Hill, Cambden and Westminster. The views from the City and Park view rooms are spectacular and well worth the small premium.

“ If visiting London via Heathrow the Lancaster Hotel is in the ideal location. Take the Heathrow Express to Paddington (15 minutes) followed by a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Lancaster Gate Tube station is just around the corner from the Hotel. The Hotel itself is excellent, the staff are helpful and the food is good and plentiful.

the London Lancaster is very smart with lovely staff who are helpful and make your stay enjoyable .the breakfast was buffet and very good value for money with every taste catered for .
But wouldn't advise that you drink at this hotel as its is very expensive and then after you have got over the shock of the price of the drink they stick a surcharge of 20% on top . across the road there is a bus stop that will take you anywhere around the corner on your left tube station will also take to wherever . will stay at the Lancaster again as the rooms where larger than most with climate control and beds of a good size and like i said the staff are brilliant
“ Top Tip: the swan hotel just across the road and around the corner History has it that prisoners were brought here for a final drink before being taken to the hanging tree at Marble Arch! Hence the origin of the sayings 'one for the road' which is the last drink ever and 'on the wagon' which refers to being taken away for the last time live music and drinks and friendly locals
