“ ON arrival ( late) we were greeted by a warm and friendly smile from the reception team and shown straight to our room after establishing the best dining options close by to the hotel. In the end we opted for tapas in the hotel garden by candlelight which was excellent . The staff were very attentive and helpful throughout with nothing too much trouble. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable although access to teh bath and shower may have been a challenge for an older or infirm person with a high step for access (Rm 210). Next mornings breakfast was excellent and all freshly prepared to order

The staff hospitality was outstanding from reception to kitchen. We arrived late but the restaurant staff willingly stayed on to serve us an excellent meal. The bar staff were equally as accommodating.
The rooms are basic and would profit from some tea/coffee making facilities, a dressing gown and fluffier towels. Nevertheless, the bed was very comfortable and the room was well maintained.
The down side was our late arrival which limited our stay, however, we would definately return and look forward to doing so in the near future.
Strongly recommended!

We had booked the Hempel hotel for our honeymoon night. It was a wonderful! Very modern! It had a tranquil feeling about it, as you enter.
Lighted candles in the foyer - it reminded me of the movie Cleopatra!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast - was great too - plenty of choices!

Given the price of The Hempel I was underwhelmed by the room in terms of decor, size & design with lighting completely inflexible - either on or off only.
Some of the decor looked a bit tired & the one of the bath legs was broken with sink drainage being v. poor.
Bar was v. nice & restaurant decor v. striking.
