The hotel is clean and within easy reach of the tourist attractions London has to offer. Plus it is very handy for the underground.
On the downside for us was that we could find no way of turning down heating and it was too hot making sleep vertually impossible. Opening the window meant that we were kept awake by traffic and general street noise.
“ Top Tip: Find out how to turn heating down before going to bed.

“ When I come to London, I always use this hotel. Its so close to hyde park and underground stations etc and good value. I like the pubs and restaurants that are near by.

booked a double room, got a twin!
booking said i had a bath, had a falling to pieces shower.
Chap on reception was pretty much no help, no speaking much English didnt help.
Top tip:
Dont stay here, spend the little bit extra!!

Room was clean but not set out very well, shower was tiny and bathroom rather cramped. Location was OK for bus route to Oxford Street etc.
Twice we asked receptionist questions, both times the info. they gave us was incorrect.
No herbal tea bags in breakfast room, I do not drink milk, luckily took my tea bags with me. Also no ice tray facility in 'fridge for drinks in room. Even had to pay for hot chocolate sachets, only tea and coffee in room
For the price it was OK, but not sure I would stay there again

Location service style and tradition. Exactly what you would expect from a distinguished Mayfair hotel especially one that started life in 1913. Major renovation has kept the elegance of the original architectural design but introduced bigger rooms air conditioning and high tech communications. A classically elegant Art Deco design. Friendly helpful service and an unbeatable London location you really could not do better!

“ The hotel was in need of a serious update! The wall's were grubby, the tiles in the bathroom were all cracked. The bed was old....dipped in the middle and squeaked everytime you moved, the bedspread had holes in it.
