“ We stayed at the Holiday Inn Camden Lock on the 16th March. We were ungraded to a room that was overlooking the lock which was nice. The room itself was very acceptable & of a good standard with plenty of room for two. We opted for a full breakfast which was expensive at £12 a head but was very comprehenive & you could have your fill. The staff were friendly helpfull & effiencient all in all we were happy with our stay & if we were coming back to this area stay here again.
“ Top Tip: We went to the Roundhouse to see Caro Emerald which was excellent. We also went across the canal around the to the lock area opposite the hotel had some Peruvian food off one of the stalls served by a lovely Peruvian lady - had a wonder around the stalls in the old horse hospital & had a couple of pints in The Lock Tarvern on Chalk Farm road - nice pub good atmosphere & although we didn't eat here looked like a good menu too - we tried to get back in after the concert but they were only letting locals in - which was a shame.

“ Great hotel just steps away from Camden High Street. Rooms are a good size, we got a lock view room which was lovely. The staff were all very nice unlike some other London Hotels I have stayed in! We had the breakfast which was good, they serve eggs how you like them just ask. Will be using this hotel again.
“ Top Tip: Koko is very close to the hotel which is why we picked this one. Supermarket is located close by if you want to stock up on water etc.

“ Hotel was excellent and staff very helpful and courteous. However, we were on the first floor and we were kept awake by late night revellers leaving the nearby wether spoons and local bars on the Friday and Saturday nights! I had to check whether the windows were double glazed or not because the noise level was so high. Also the occupants of the room next door talked all through the Sunday night till Monday morning! A lovely hotel in all respects but if you want a peaceful night then this is not the hotel for you.

“ We bkd a standard double room. All of which have kingsize beds. On arrival we were lucky enough to be able to park at hotel, as they only have 7 spaces, at a cost of £15. At check in there was a notice stating upgrades were an extra £12 & Penthouse £36. We took the £12 upgrade which was very disappointing as bedroom & bathroom were very small! We complained, so they showed my husband another few options & it became clear that the upgrade was purely for a view over the canal, not for the room! This we found to be very misleading! They moved us to an executive room, which should have been a little more expensive, but they only charged the extra £12. We ended up with a very nice large room that didn`t overlook the canal, which would have been quite noisy anyway with the bars etc along that area. The staff were really lovely & couldn`t fault the buffet cooked breakfast in the morning. Shame we had the initiall issues but they resolved them & would certainly stay there again. Perfect for the Roundhouse theatre & shopping just a few mins walk away.
