“ very basic rooms, perfect for young people wanting a stop over for the night. room was spotless, receptionist was ok bit surly but again served us quickly and showed us to our rooms. cant really complain for the price we got it at.
“ Top Tip: the common was lovely made better by the weather, nice pub called the windmill very close to the hotel.

“ This hotel is pretty terrible. I've stayed 3 times and every time they've had no record of our booking (or anyone else's that happen to be checking-in at the same time). But they somehow always manage to find you a room. The rooms are cleanish, but extremely small. On the most recent visit our window wouldn't close properly and we had no lid on our toilet. But it's only what we expected. The last 2 times we've visited (18 months apart) they've been refurbishing, but nothing seems to have improved. The ONLY reason i stay here is because it's incredibly cheap (for London) and i have friends that live locally. I've never eaten breakfast and to be honest i wouldn't risk it. I would only recommend this hotel if you want a cheap place to lay your head for a few hours. But, i think this hotel is too far out of London for the usual tourist attractions.
“ Top Tip: The Windmill on the Common pub on Clapham Common is lovely with a great pub menu and a new restaurant attached. I recently noticed that they have a boutique hotel upstairs, but have yet to check the prices. Plenty of fun pubs and clubs on Clapham High St. Club Sol is good for drinking and dancing for all ages.

“ The room was dirty especialy the carpet, the window was taped up, the door would'nt close without slamming it, there were no handles on the wordrobe, the airial to the television had a wire with no end to it so we coud'nt watch television, when we boiled the kettle we had to sqeeze it between the tele stand and the wall because the leed wuold'nt reach, we slept on top of the bed covers because we found hair in the bed, the net curtains were fraid all along the bottom edge . We know we did'nt pay 4 star price for the room but even 1 would have been nice . The staff were very nice and the breakfast was ok, on the way to breakfast i had to open a fire door by putting my finger through the hole where a handle should have been ,not a great stay that is the worst room we have ever stayed in 79/2a look for your self.

This hotel was the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. yes OK it was really cheap,and especially for London but that doesn't mean that the place shouldn't of at least be clean and comfortable to stay in, I wasn't expecting luxury for that price but that doesn't mean that i was expecting the pits either it was disgusting!!! First of all our bedroom was right up the top of the building so quite a few flights of stairs had to be taken to get to it, the decor was old and dirty and it all looked like it needed a good clean and sprucing up, examples carpets stained everywhere, paint hanging off, curtains not fitted to window size, door locks hanging off.
The first thing i noticed when getting in to our room was the really bad smell of faeces and what looked to be vomit stained carpet. We where given a kettle in our room with no where to plug it in, so had to pull a unit with television on to plug it in. The duvet and pillows on the bed didn't even have covers on them, which I thought was really bad. Thats not to mention the shower i would have felt dirtier getting out of it than i did if i had gotten in it.
As for breakfast we didn't have it, so couldn't comment on that. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat any there as the disgrace of the place just completely put us off.
Although we only stayed at the hotel for the one night that was long enough, we couldn't wait to leave.
“ Top Tip: Top Tip do not stay at this hotel is all i can say.
