Stayed at this Hotel a couple of years ago and had a perfect time. This time as a treat for my mum I can't help but say I was disappointed. On arrival our room was ready which was appreciated after travelling. However, disappointed to find carpet being laid in corridors and we had to dodge tool backs and off cut of carpets. I understand this has to be done but surely not at 12:30pm on a Friday.
I had booked a twin room and wasn't overwhelmed - quite small and situated on the front of the hotel which was very noisy from traffic. The little touches you expect from this hotel were missing i.e a pen etc.
We had included in the price a continental breakfast which was a huge let down. It was a half hearted attempt set up in a meeting room. Selection was poor to say the least. We were served tea & coffee from vacumn flasks and had to ask mine to be changed as there was something floating in it. A replacement came but I had to ask for the old cup to be taken away as it had just been left.
No way in the world was this worth £16.00 if you had paid on the day.
My stay certainly wasn't worth the money I paid!

“ Travel republic were the cheapest supplier of this hotel by far ,the hotel is in a great position for shopping and sightseeing. We were given a room on the 4th floor that was fine but not 5 star . Tea and coffee were supplied but only 4 small milk , the air conditioning was needed ,but was very noisy during the night. We had the continental brekfast , it wasnt the widest range of choice but was ok. Would go back because of the great location.

“ Flemings is a lovely boutique style hotel with truly delightful staff who are helpful & extremely friendly & efficient. Location is terrific for the West End with good underground & bus routes on the doorstep. The one negative side for us was when we checked in we were asked if we would like a room on the ground floor or on upper floors. We chose ground floor for convenience & did have regrets as the room was very dark requiring lights on all the time but the noise from the underground trains was a liitle tiresome. Due to the trains starting around 05:30 sleep after that was not really an option. I think guests should be made aware of the problem. The rooms are well appointed as was the bathroom & apart from the underground noise we could not fault the hotel. We would go back but make sure we were not on the ground floor.

“ The hotel certainly warrants its four star rating. The staff however should receive a 5 star rating as they were outstanding. The location is perfect for Westend theatres and shopping and the tube is very close by and taxis easily obtainable. If you have a problem with stairs you should bear in mind that this is an old building and although there is a lift some of the rooms are not on the exact same level as the lift and still require stairs to be negotiated. I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotal again.
“ Top Tip: The hotel is very close to Green Park and Buckingham Palace. Although the hotel does its own afternoon tea, if you wish to experience this at The Ritz it is very close by too.
