I just slept there. The bed was really comfy, but the hotel is very close to Finsbury High Road so it is quite noisy.
The place as a whole is looking a bit tired (though as of May 2011 it looks like there is some work being carried out).
The public areas of this hotel were quite grubby, with only one light working on the fourth floor landing, grubby carpets - stairway carpet particularly dirty. There was a stain on the carpet in the room, and a stain on the bed cover.
I didn't eat there so can't comment on dining room or food.
Would I recommend it to a friend? Not as a first choice, no, but for the area it is quite reasonable and you get what you pay for, so yeah, and it gets 5.9 to be at the top end of average - but not above average.

“ Chose this hotel for the parking but beware the triple parked white vans in the car park- do not rely on a parking space if arriving later in day. If you can quadruple park then you have to leave your keys at reception for someone (!) to move your car which I was not willing to do - no insurance and car park disclaimer. However, surprisingly quiet room at the back yet so close to Finchley Road with the good transport links. Large comfy bed, white cotton bedding. Decorations a bit battered, but clean.

Good sized room, good bathroom facilities, Great breakfast, basically all you could eat hot or cold or both!
Freindly staff, clean! Parking which was a great plus. Close to tube for easy access to anywhere. All in all a great place to stay at very reasonable rates for London breaks. Will definitely stay again!! Will recommend the hotel to others!

“ Nice clean hotel. Perfect for a weekend away. Close to the tube station. Free parking was definitely a plus. Breakfast was good and just what was required after a night out on the town.
“ Top Tip: Breakfast is served till 10.30am (nobody told us on arrival)

I was running the London Marathon and on a Sunday they don't serve Breakfast till 8am, However they started breakfast for all us runner at 7am. I thought this was great service and I really appreciated it.
Also the internet was free which was great as I could inform everyone of my progress from the London Marathon.
“ Top Tip: Several bars and restaurants close to the hotel although it is a short train journey to central London. The tube station is only a 5 min walk.
