This luxury London hotel is steeped in history and prides itself on its high levels of service and the comfort it offers as it seeks to ‘inspire, enthral and amaze’. The Cumberland Hotel London is part of the Guoman group of London hotels which also features The Charing Cross and The Tower and is set near to London’s Oxford Street shopping area, while Marble Arch is also nearby. The building itself came into existence towards the end of the 1920s and it began to usher in its guests from 1933 as the first hotel to have telephones in each room and private en suite bathrooms. King George V and Queen Mary were even in attendance for the venue’s grand opening ceremony.
Today, the hotel brings together an impressive style mixed with contemporary aspects, with sculptures and paintings dotted around the building, while the bedrooms and dining rooms are also modern in their design and furnishing. And all this right at the heart of London near to its array of other centrally placed hotels, as well as its numerous exciting attractions, places to visit and sights to see. The Cumberland Hotel is one of e-travelguide's most popular establishments in the heart of the nation's capital.
The hotel offers a complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access.

The room was ok, but could have been better - for example the air conditioning from the outside corridor was very noisy and the room took a long time to warm up. The bathroom floor was very cold (not ideal at this time of year) and the shower door leaked.
However, the staff were very courteous and helpful and breakfast was very good. The hotel location, near to Marble Arch, made travel around London very easy.
“ Top Tip: Marble Arch tubestation is right next to the hotel, which is very handy.

The location is this hotels best asset! I was very impressed with a few of the staff that i spoke to. They were very friendly.
The rooms are far too expensive for what you get. They are tiny & pretty basic!
“ Top Tip: Speakers corner was very interesting & a stone throw away!

Hotel was very clean and welcoming, staff were very friendly and helpful, good location next door to Marble Arch tube station, Oxford Street on your doorstep,
all the shopping you could wish for. Walked all the way down to Tottenham Court Road had a drink in the local the Tottenham, nice meal in Cafe Rouge around the corner from the pub, back to the Tottenham and then crossed the road to the tube which then stopped next door to hotel excellent. we would return to this hotel with no worries.
