“ The Chesterfield and its staff are excellent

“ A great hotel, really helpful staff and a good location. This was one of the best London Hotels we have stayed at.

“ Booked a 2 night stay in a King size room with a bottle of bubbly thrown in. Room was a good size for a London hotel, and decor was quirky - we were in the "theatre" room. Two small niggles - the floor boards in our room and that of the one above us were really creaky - I was woken by persons above us moving about. I know it is an old hotel and all the rooms may be the same but a few nails in the floorboards wouldn't go amiss! The plumbing in the decent sized bathroom was also a little erratic with a somewhat temperamental flush on the toilet!
We booked bed and full breakfast, and the breakfast was exceptional with not only a full variety of cold fayre but a really good hot selection far and above the full English breakfast. The hotel is well located in a quiet part of Mayfair. I thought the wine in the bar was typical London inflated prices until I realised that one glass was a third of a bottle! Bit disappointed as a smoker that the only outdoor area available was the street outside. Staff were courteous and helpfiul although we weren't in the hotel that much, and overall it was a good hotel.
