My daughter and I found the location of this hotel very central and being two females on our own felt quite safe in the area.
However, on our last night at the hotel we had no central heating in our room and this was reported to Reception. Fortunately we were going outwith the hotel to a restaurant and did not return to the hotel until around 10.30/11 pm. When we reported the fault to Reception we were told that someone would attend to this and if need be some form of heating would be left in our room for us to use. When we returned too the hotel all the lights in our room were on - we had left the room in complete darkness before going out -, the central heating was still not working and there was no form of heater left for our use. The next morning when we checked out I once again mentioned the central heating problem and was told that "Yes they were aware of the problem".

“ I had stayed there before and found it reasonably priced, convenient for both Kings Cross and the British Museum, well and thoughtfully run (eg TV in dining room very handy for clients dining on their own) and most importantly a friendly, effecient and helpful staff. Rooms were quite compact, but that was not important. The staff were really quite exceptional.
“ Top Tip: British museum!

“ Great hotel, modern facilities, good service. The only small complaint is that the room was on the small side.
