“ May at first seem a bit out of the centre - however there's a tube station 1/4 mile away which takes you into Westminster area in about 10 mins. plenty restuarants and pubs in the street . although a 3 star hotel the overall ambiance is good. Things which could be better - bed was a bit like sleeping on a bag of bricks- new mattress would be a good idea. Dining room needs refreshing (carpet especially) and telly reception !! well take a good book !
“ Top Tip: plenty of restuarants between hotel and tube station

I had great difficulty finding the hotel and it looks like a house from the outside, I spent about 15 mins trying to find it, when I finally checked in the male receptionist was polite.
The room was OK, but I nearly heaved when I found skid marks in the toilet bowl, VERY DISTASTEFUL, however room was clean.
TV is small but works, no tea making facilities in room.
When I got back from a night out, I was had to wait 10 mis to be let in by receptionist.
Breakfast was just two slices of toast, and even the bowls for cereal were more designed for children as they were so small, same with the glasses for orange juice.
I had an OK stay, I would stay again at this hotel.

We had two rooms booked. A double and a single.
Temporary Reception put us in wrong rooms.
The couple were put in room 407
This room was very dirty, stains on duvet , on floor, or carpet on luggage rack.
The bathroom was horrible, taps were so old you could see brass underneath the chrome, walls and floor were dirty. The batch was had a load of black scratches , looked like someone used wire brush to take the enamel off.
When I complained to reception they offered another room on level 2, which I though would be ok, but I heard later it was even worse.
We also had room 207 I think, it was a lot better , but needed a good cleaning, the light switches were filthy, again stains on bathroom floor.
Some of the lights in both rooms didn't work.
We arrived around 8Pm, if it had been earlier I would have tried to move to a different hotel.
Luckly we were only staying one night.
The location was great very close to town centre.
The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. And we were able to leave our cases there the next day.
Breakfast was very basic continental style , but that was OK, that was what we paid for.
You could order a cooked breakfast for a few pounds , which was good value.
Don't know why they have a man standing there, just to put on toast, to order . He'd be better employed cleaning the rooms.
“
Top Tip:
A lot of nice restaurants on the Old Bromford road, the one nearest the hotel looked really could, but was full up when we went. All of them were very busy on a Tuesday night.
