“ Opulent if higgeldy piggeldy hotel handy for the Gloucester Road tube and near South Kensington. Former Vanderbilt London home. Front rooms are incredibly noisy as they face the Cromwell Road, rear rooms back onto a mews. It's one of my favourites though. Great staff and a good breakfast!

“ Excellent location and friendly staff make this hotel really good. Comfortable room and good food.
“ Top Tip: Come out of hotel and turn left for Museums and Knightbridge. Turn right for tube and restaurants and right again for Kensington High Street and more restaurants.

I just needed somewhere to lay my head for two nights when marshalling an event over the weekend. That's pretty much what I got.
I didn't need food at the hotel, so didn't try it.
The girl on the reception was friendly and helpful enough.
The room I was allocated was TINY, but as I wasn't planning on swinging a cat it was OK.
Disappointing shower. Bathroom small. Toilet seat slightly loose.
This is a functional hotel that does what it says on the tin. Handy for Gloucester Road tube station.
Extortionate price for what it was, but that's London for you!
