“ The hotel room was so noisey that I failed to fall asleep for along while. The rooms need to have proper double glazing as sash windows lets all the outside noise into the room!

“ Loved this centrally located hotel. The inside of the hotel is quite stunning. At night the entrance hall, corridors and grand staircase are lined with candles, creating a very romantic feel. Our deluxe room was very comfortable. We were offered an upgrade to an executive room at an extra £45 per night. Had our trip been for a very special occasion, we may have taken them up on it! ( there was no chance of a free upgrade!) All the staff were very polite and helpful. Check in was fast and efficient. Breakfast in the Terrace was excellent with a great choice of both hot and cold food while enjoying a wonderful view from the glass fronted terrace onto the buzz of The Strand. We would certainly return to this hotel.

A beautiful hotel with character. Rooms were an excellent size and the Junior Suite was ample big enough for 3 adults.
Excellent location next to underground station and within easy walking distance for Covent Garden and West End Theatres. This saved us a fortune on taxi fares and gave us the chance to call back at the hotel after a busy day of sight seeing to freshen up before going to the Theatre.
Mattresses on main beds were very hard but when we mentioned this to reception, they immediately arranged for toppers to be put on the beds and this made a big difference.
Breakfast was excellent and the view from the dining room was very impressive. Service couldn't be faulted throughout our stay.
