The Waldorf Hilton

“ The Waldorf hotel is in a fantastic location for all the theatres and covent garden, however if you are expecting 5 star service and luxury rooms you will be very disappointed! On checking in at the given time of 14.00 pm we were told our room would not be ready until 15.15 pm. This was not a problem however when we were given our room it was very small and not cleaned thoroughly with light bulbs out and dust on all surfaces! This is not what you expect from an established five star hotel! Our bags were not brought to the room and only after bringing this to receptions attention 40 minutes later were our bags delivered! After airing our concerns we were given another room on the 4 th floor which had been recently refurbed! The room was more spacious and cleaned to a high standard however the sink was leaking and the bathroom had cracked tiles! Once again I complained to the customer relations manager and was offered a free bottle of wine, he was not overly concerned and quite disregarding of our complaint! I have stayed in many hotels from 3 star to 4 star and the Waldorf was no better than a travelodge apart from you pay 5 times more! Please take my advice and do not book this hotel unless you want to end up disappointed and disgruntled!

“ Top Tip: Mishima Jewish restaurant just round the corner served fantastic salt beef well worth a visit and very reasonable! Best sandwiches I have ever eaten even beats the deli,s in new york! A must !!!

“ Hotel is is a very good location and close by to all attractions including theatres and covent garden 5 mins walk away. I would say the breakfast is 5* and the bedrooms more of a 4* hotel. Apart from that lovely hotel and suited our needs perfectly.

“ Top Tip: Everytime I go to London I always eat at Browns Bar & Brasserie - love it!
