The hotel was very close to the place where I was working.
It is currently undergoing renovation and my room had recently been given a complete overhaul. The bed was new and very comfortable. The room itself was quite small but was perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. The en suite toilet was fine, with a good, quite powerful shower.
The breakfast was OK if basic, though the warm croissants were a pleasant surprise. I wouldn't recommend the coffee however.
“ Top Tip: There's a really good restaurant (The Table) a few doors down Southwark Ave which is seriously worth a visit. Fabulous food in the evening at affordable prices.

On arrival staff were polite & friendly. Our room was clean & adequate for our needs, but we encountered a problem with the door key and on several occasions could not enter our room without staff letting us in. However, this was soon rectified by staff upgrading us free of charge to another room and this more than made up for any inconvenience first encountered.
The only thing that was a little inconvenient was that the lift was extremely small (it states that it carries 4 people but this would be a tight squeeze) and we had to wait quite a while for the lift to be available. As we were on the fourth floor the stairs were a little too much for me as I have arthritis in my knee.
All in all though I was very pleased with the hotel and would stay there again.
