Property Summary
Location
The hotel boasts forty six elegant bedrooms including a selection of suites , some with four poster beds. All of the rooms are en-suite, individually furnished and boast a view of either Cannizaro Park or Wimbledon Common.
The award winning (2 Rosettes) restaurant and breakfast room is a charming and bright room overlooking a fabulous large terrace where al fresco dining or traditional English afternoon tea can be enjoyed in the summer months.
It's a stunning Georgian style building. The mansion took its name from an earlier resident, the Sicilian Duke of Cannizaro and his Scottish wife. They lived here from 1817 until 1841, when they died within a few months of one another.
This is 'London's first country house hotel' opened in June 1987 where today's guests still enjoy the perfect tranquillity and classic elegance of a past era. (VM 01/09)
