“ Our overnight stay at a weekend was very good. Bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and tidy. Breakfast was self service (which I prefer) and there was a good selection to cover most tastes. Free car parking too.

“ Just stayed 1 night at Holiday Inn Express after spending a full day at Thorpe Park. The hotel was situated just off junction 20, Hemel Hempstead and was perfect for breaking the journey back up north. The hotel was very well kept offering 1st class accommodation with a modern but tasteful decor. The room was roomy with an excellent bathroom and provided all the toiletries should your stay only be one night. The hotel is located next to a refurbished stretch of the canal and provided us with a nice evening walk before heading to the pub. A buffet breakfast is included within the price and offered a great selection, far above our expectations. As the one who books these hotels and suffers the rough of the missis should it not be up to expectations it was nice to receive a compliment on the hotel and location, a great short break we had. could not fault anything.
“ Top Tip: Within a stones through of the Hotel is a lovely pub sat next to the canal called The Paper Mill, the pub had a good selection of food & drink,reasonably priced.
