“ I thought the staff were very friendly and accomodating - would stay here again

“ If I was looking for a hotel to gto to the football with friends this might have been suitable. It is not four star in my opinion. The hotel is situated behind a security fence, where parking is an extra £6.50 per night. It is still £6.50 if you have to put your car in the overspill car park which is claimed to be a five minute walk but is nearer 10. My only blessing here was that it wasn't raining. The overspill car park means you have to walk past a housing estate with a small park in front of it, designed I can only assume to attract undesirable characters after dark.
There were two lifts, one of which wasn't working. I was put in a basic room with the lingering smell of stale smoke and cheap airfresheners designed to mask the smell.
The view in a morning from the higher floor was great and it's fair to say I felt the stay improved the longer I was there. Breakfast was served in the restaurant, with many more staff than the previous evening. All who worked there were courteous and professional and I feel this went a long was to improving my experience.
I do feel however that there are too many other hotels in the area offering better facililties and with better parking to recommend it to other travellers.

“ Top Tip: If you must stay here, ensure you get there as early as possible, There are about 50-60 parking spots for at least 120 rooms. Cars were parked on verges and close to a wasteland area. The overspill is a good ten minutes from the hotel and I wasn't convinced with the security arrangements there.
