“ My main problem was the fact that the hotel had changed from a Ramada Jarvis ,when I booked to a Mercure Hotel (I was not informed) The hotel was clearly geared mostly to business people on short stays but the staff and facilities were good. It was ideally situated for the centre of Manchester-shopping , theatre,station etc. Would have liked some leisure facilities particularly as the weather was dreadful
“ Top Tip: The Manchester tourist information next door was excellent and I went on a short waliking tour of the industrial areas of Manchester a short distance away. Very interesting.

Centrally located adjacent to Picadilly gardens and bus station. Room was clean and had the expected amenities T.V, tea coffee making facilities, private bathroom.
The restaurant gets very busy for breakfast, therefore surprised to find the buffet cooked breakfast luke warm,bearing in mind that items were being replenished at regular intervals.
Large bar area, comfortable 3* hotel, would stay again if the room rate was reasonable. Parts of the hotel are currently being refurbished as Mercure hotels have recently taken over ownership from Ramada Jarvis

This art deco styled hotel located right in the heart of the city centre only 5 minutes walk from all main line stations offers a warm and friendly welcome. Adjacent to Manchester's shopping area and Gardens only a short stroll away. All 223 bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished with modern facilities including TV hairdryer telephone air-conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities. Jenny's restaurant is bright and spacious with modern furnishings and serves traditional and International cuisine. In addition there is also a fun and vibrant Bar which is open till late and provides a great night out. For relaxation take advantage of the leisure facilities with swimming pool Jacuzzi sauna and gym.(£2.50 entrance charge applies) The hotel is ideal for both leisure and business guests with excellent conference facilities which are ideal for those business guests as the suites accommodate up to a huge 550 people. Wi-Fi is free to all guests and is available in all public areas of the hotel.
“ One of the coldest nights of the winter after being stood on freezing train stations to arrive around 9pm to see that the maid had left the window open in the room by this point it was freezing!!! We thought we,d go and get something to eat while room warmed up, we put the heating on full and returned an hour and half later to find heating was broken in room and blowing out cold air.

The hotel boasts five floors of superbly decorated comfortable classical accommodation. The hotel is within walking distance of Piccadilly Station the Metrolink theatres and the Arndale Centre. The non-smoking Gardens Hotel offers comfortably appointed rooms the Le Jardin restaurant lounge bar and meeting facilities. All rooms offer private bathrooms TV hairdryer and a hospitality tray. All the facilities a traveler requires. The staff at the Gardens Hotel pride themselves on a warm and friendly service where value for money is always a priority!
