“ Great hotel near to tram, pubs, restaurants, and numerous south of city centre venues. Good, well sound-proofed room with comfortable bed(s) and usual tea/coffee stuff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Overall, I would say slightly better than the nearby Premier/Holiday Inns and much better than the Travelodge.
“ Top Tip: Do try a pint in the excellent and historic Britons Protection pub next door!

“ Friendly helpful staff, however I had booked a triple room and once again had to request a third cup and extra tea/coffee etc for my party. Also I had booked and paid for bed and breakfast only to be greeted by a request to pay £8.50 per person when I entered the dining room the following morning, after my strong objection to this, the 'waiter' magically found a seperate guest list which confirmed that we had breakfast included.

“ The hotel was relatively simple, but the room was spacious and clean. Overall, the hotel had a relaxed atmosphere, and seemed to be busy with people coming to Manchester on business. It's a very good place to stay if you are looking for a comfy bed for a few nights. Staff were very friendly. Only downside was that the room was quite noisy when the window was open.
“ Top Tip: If you come by car, you will need to park on one of the many car parks around. There are otherwise double-yellow lines (no stopping) everywhere! The cheapest one I found was an open NCP car park off Little Peter Street (£7.70 per 24 hrs). The hotel had a deal with another NCP car park that is covered and possibly a bit safer, but even with hotel discount costs more than twice as much. Best thing is probably to come by train. The nearest train station is Oxford Street.
