I stayed at The Lowry with my 8 year old daughter as we were going to the Rihanna concert at the MEN Arena. From the moment we got out of our taxi to the moment we left the service was exceptional.
We dined in the bar and the service was fantastic, children's cocktails were a great hit.
The room was fantastic, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, the shower was as you would expect for a 5* hotel. Couldn't fault the room at all.
Breakfast was lovely.
This was my 2nd stay at the Lowry and i wouldn't hesitiate to stay again.
Highly recommend.

The hotel , rooms , and staff were first class and could not have been more helpful
The only slight criticism about the room, was that the Internet connection was not working and it took an hour and two memeber so staff to work out the prob lem and provide a new connection box.The Charge of £15 was waived.
House Keeping had fallen down on the job and we were promised that it would not happen again !
The the breakfast on Sunday morning ,at 10.30 AM ( breakfast served UNTIL 11.00am) , there were no free tables when we arrived.Yet, therre were several uncleared tables and we were offered a five minute wait in the lounge. We pointed out the empty tables and asked for one to be cleared .The receptionist/manager, did so reluctantly.
The Dining Room was obviously understaffed , the hotel was full of guests for two Weddings and this should have been anticipated.
The staff on duty were friendly abnd helpful.
The hot breakfast was Self -Service , of good quality but not the same as " made to order".An obvious cost saving measure which reflected poorly on the general value for money of the hotel
For a First Class Hotel to make a charge at all is cheeky, so was the £12 Charge for 24 hour parking.Beromg in mind at the immediately adjacent publ;ic car park the charge was £4.00 for 12 hours, albeit non-barriered
“ Top Tip: Thye Hotel is near to San Carlo, one of a fine restaurant chain and " Red Hot" the largest buffet Restaurant in Europe, according to the blurb .All one can eat for £14.99, large queues evidenced to its popularity!

“ We stay at The Lowry when we visit Manchester and always find it meets the highest standards of service and attention to detail. The beds are extremely comfortable and the shower is powerful and easy to control. Breakfast is not the cheapest but the choice is fantastic.
“ Top Tip: San Carlo is a fantastic restaurant just a few minutes walk away. If you can't get a reservation ask the Concierge at The Lowry who may be able to get you a table. Alternatively walk a bit further to the San Rocco.

This city hotel was renovated in 2004 and comprises 265 rooms, spread over 7 floors of which 169 are double rooms and 96 are single rooms. In addition to a lobby area, the hotel offers its guests a bar, a pub, 2 conference rooms and an air-conditioned restaurant. A public Internet terminal and laundry services are on also offer. Public car park is close by - discounted rates available at the Manchester Central (formally known as GMEX) car park adjacent to the hotel.
“ Fantastic hotel, professional, attentive and friendly staff. Great location for metro and central Manchester. Good size room, lovely decor, immaculate. Breakfast was lovely. Hot, plentiful and organised. Cannot fault this hotel and the price we paid was exceptional. Great bargain. Thank you very much.

The Portland, Manchester in the city centre is a top ranked business hotel in Manchester right near Piccadilly Gardens and immediately near Arndale Centre – the largest city-centre shopping mall in the UK and EU.
“ Really excellect location near to shops, bars, restaurants. Lobby area looks quite grand but has little in the way of seating and not very comfortable as cold and drafty when doors keep opening. Bedroom could have done with a deep clean as bases of taps and shower head were dirty. More of a utility 3 star hotel rather than a comfortable 4 star.

The Macdonald Townhouse is a grade II listed building in the heart of Manchester City Centre perfectly located for the many business districts and to enjoy Manchester's shopping as well as theatre and exhibitions in the city centre. Constructed in 1870 the grand façade of this former textile warehouse has remained largely unchanged although the building was converted into a hotel in 1982. The hotel underwent an extensive refurbishment programme in 2010 transforming it into a 4 star Boutique Hotel whilst still retaining many of the features of the original building. Due to the nature of the warehouse design the contemporary designed air conditioned bedrooms are spacious and filled with light from the large windows that surround each floor level.
