“ Really friendly and relaxed welcome. Personal attention by the owner who was happy to help out with any problems i.e. making sure a bridegroom and his son got to the wedding on time by giving them a lift in his own car! Central but quiet location. Lovely cooked to order breakfast.

“ Room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Proprietor was welcoming. Breakfast was good. Good location. Off-street parking to rear. All in all, the hotel-quality room with en-suite and the attentive personal service at breakfast made this a very enjoyable stay.

“ This was a lovely guest house in Harrogate, near the town centre and with comfortable, clean, spacious rooms and the fluffiest scrambled egg I have ever tasted. I was in town for a conference at a nearby but much more expensive hotel, I liked Fountains Guest House more. I didn't roam far from Fountains or the conference venue, but I understood the town of Harrogate was very nearby.
