“ As the mother two teenage boys, I joined them in their room at 10:30 pm to watch a movie. From 11 pm onwards I was deeply embarrassed to hear very vocal sexual activities going on in the room next to them. Just after 12:30 am I knocked on the relevant room door, they didn't answer, but the noises subsided. About 1 am, I heard the room door shut as a person left.

I can only conclude that someone paid for the services of a 'lady of the night' from 11 pm - 1 am and they wanted value for money!

Not a pleasant stay - so not planning on returning! The only upside, were the leisure facilities - nice swimming pool.

“ Top Tip: Avoid this hotel .... if you have young children or teenagers and bring ear plugs!

“ We booked a standard double room which is very compact. This did not bother us as we were visiting our son so only wanted somewhere to sleep. The room was well appointed with a safe, tea making facilities, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, flat screen TV and heating or air conditioning depending on what you wanted. There is no wardrobe just a unit fixed to the wall that has a small clothes rail and the ironing board hanging from it. The bathroom is modern and a good size, no bath but there is a large shower area. The shower is a rain shower, unfortunately the pressure is not very good so don't expect to get drenched. Having said that it was lovely and hot and was fine for the one night we were there.
The rooms are not very soundproofed and you can hear people easily in the corridoor. We were waken in the middle of the night by a group of youngsters that seemed to be very noisy. We think they were either the floor below us or the one above, either way we could hear them laughing and joking with each other. Fortunately the noise didn't go on for long so we managed to get back to sleep, otherwise this might have been a problem.
Breakfast was very good, all of the staff were very polite and the service was good.
We used the trams to get into town and were about 10 - 13 minutes walk from a tram stop into town. There were also bus stops less than a minutes walk from the hotel, we just preferred the tram. There is also a pub just across the road which looked as if it served food as well.
We did not use the pool or the gym, the pool looked nice not sure about the gym as we didn't see it.
There is a large car park which is free and barrier controlled, you need a code to exit the car park.
Overall we enjoyed the hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly and it was very clean. We will definately stay there again next time we visit our son at the University, it was excellent value for money.

“ The front of the hotel looks bit dated, a 70's building but iterior is fine and modern good clean rooms apart for TV which has no subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing. Soap dispenser in bathroom unhygienic esp after using toilet and squeeze it with hands. better to have sachets/tubes. Hallway needs good vacuuming as seen the bits still on floor from the day before. excellent breakfast

“ Top Tip: deffo will stay again as plenty of buses heading to city, ideal for park and ride!
