“
Easy check in, all the information regarding our stay was explained, including that on a Friday or Saturday night noise from the Bar could be an issue, but as they put us on the second floor, but we didn't hear anything when we did go to bed.
Rooms had clearly been recently refurbished and were very well clean, and well appointed, very comfortable bed meant a good nights sleep.
Breakfast was not to bad, well cook and hot when brought to the table, supported by good service, which we found to be consistent throughout the hotel generally, including the public bar.
In all couldn't fault considering the price we paid. excellent value
“ Top Tip: Great pubs near by, The Star and the Farmers arms being the best.

“ I had booked this hotel for myself and three children for 2 days and then read some reviews - to be truthful after reading the negative reviews I was dreading staying at The Longboat. I am pleased to say the reviews were wrong - room clean and nice, as were staff.
“
Top Tip:
A fabulous ice cream place on the 'front' with dozens of amazing flavoured ice cream. The Renaissance was a good place to eat, drink and snack and watch the sea/the world go by.
A brilliant shop just up from The Longboat with really unusual/retro style clothing and some really classy unusual pressies to take home - sorry cant remember the name, was on the next corner though and same side as hotel

“ I had misgivings when I first saw the place, it looked like a rowdy pub, and maybe it is. But residents can use a separate entrance if they don't want to walk through the bar and the room was smart (possibly recently decorated) and clean, and the staff were friendly.
