The overall decor was good.
After entering our room we noticed that somebody had been lying on one of the beds -this was reported to reception as we were leaving for an evening out. Upon our return we had been allocated another room which was fine except that the shower was stuck upon scalding hot water and could not be adjusted and the towel rail over the bath was coming away from the wall. These were reported to reception a.m. who said that maintenance would be asked to rectify. There was no muesli on offer at breakfast, the scrambled egg part of mine was cold (staff did offer to change it but I declined as had eaten half of it.) My wife found too much grease floating around her "full english" breakfast.
However, all the staff were polite, pleasant and helpful

“ On arrival at the Hotel we were told that the restaurant was not available for residents that night as they had a party booking. We feel thathis was outrageous as we were not told of this beforehand. We complained at the time but the manager was not there to speak to.Weasked for our complaint to be passed on to the manager but we have not heard from him.The staff were all good and attentive but we should have been told about the restaurant not being available. If he had been there we would have asked for a refund of part of the bill.
