The Playden Oasts is a three star English Tourist Board Inn full of charm and character just one mile from the historic Cinque Port of Rye. The building is an old converted oast house previously used for drying hops. Here you can relax with a quiet drink in our roundel coast bar warmed by the homely log fires. In fine weather enjoy the invigorating countryside air in our spacious beer garden. We have 2 delightful restaurants within our establishment offering a wide range of locally sourced dishes, along with traditional Sunday roasts, we are sure to cater for all your culinary desires. We also offer an extensive Bar Menu. We are open all day, every day and our food is served at Lunch (12 - 3pm) and Evenings (6 - 9pm). We offer eight fully en-suite bedrooms in our country hotel. If you are looking for a weekend break or just an overnight stay during the week this is the perfect home from home experience. The Playden Oasts also has its own private fishing Lake, situated just 9 miles from the hotel....

Camber Sands has a unique combination of miles and miles of unspoilt sand dunes with loads to do in the day as well as the evenings. The Blue Flag beach is a venue in itself, ideal for picnicking, playing or just lazing around. Away from the beach the beautiful old port town of Rye deserves exploring, along with the old smugglers hideouts dotted along the coast and of course the iconic White Cliffs – the traditional greeting for anyone sailing back to England Pontins at Camber Sands is a great place to be! Non stop fun for all the family with up to 70 free activities from, Crazy Golf to Karaoke and Talent Competitions to Bingo. At the end of the day Lunars bar is buzzing with live music and acts perfect for adults and older teens.
“ Great,in the middle of refurbishment but that just means in the summer its all going to be new,accomadation is new and clean and very modern,drinks very cheap and the facilities are brillant,going to go again in the summer.Its so cheap for what you get.

“ Accommodation and facilities comfortable and adequate. Historic character of the hotel add charm and interest. All staff and services friendly and helpful at all times. A wonderful inglenook open fire with a choice of bar food menus contrasted nicely with the formal dinning room and candle lit dinners. Delicious cooked breakfast with local produce.

Located in the centre of Rye East Sussex the hotel was recently renovated to create one of the most stunning hideaways on the south coast. The focus of the bedrooms is comfort with Vi-Spring beds Italian linen and chrome power showers; superior in both style and comfort. We also have modern meeting facilities in the hotel broadband access and an excellent restaurant serving fresh and local seasonal produce.
“ Having never been to Rye my husband and I decided to pay it a visit to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We were absolutely delighted with our room on arrival. It was extremely comfortable. Nice decor, lots of nice touches, free bottled water, tea coffee.

“ I am very satisfied with my stay. The room was clean and quiet, the receptionist was friendly, overall a good place for an overnight stay for the whole family. The breakfast was sort of o.k. I had expected more varieties of food to chose from. The hotel is close to pubs, cafes and restaurants in Rye ancient city.
