We booked a twin room, but it was set up as a double-although they quickly reset it. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good car park. Interesting area. We would have welcomed a little sheet/notice giving the hotel's undoubted history.
It was let down by attention to detail.eg the toilet seat didnt fit properly and didn't work properly either. The hot water ran out in the morning.
The tv remote didn't work. The lead for the kettle was too short. The economy lights in the bathroom were a disaster - aren't they all? I could go on.
The dinner was very nice but a trifle expensive - not many takers.
Having said all that, we enjoyed our stay
