“ We had a wonderful weekend at the Royal York Hotel. We stayed in a garden room which was a very good size with a good size bathroom. The hotel itself is a grand Victorian creature full of original features, but there is nothing outdated about the decor or room fitments. Tried room service too - both food and service were excellent. Nothing to fault and will stay here again.

“ This hotel was good. Quick check in, plain but well supplied room, very helpful doormen. Please note, there's no hotel parking so you pay £20 for them to take your car and park it elsewhere (otherwise I think it would be a pain to locate a secure carpark in the middle of York and lug your cases back).
