The hotel was virtually empty but there were plenty of staff around who were very helpful.
Pool was almost empty most of the time (capacity 750 people).
Quite a few conferences held so lots of people in suits rather than holiday gear but that didn't bother us.
“ Top Tip: Plenty of good places to eat to suit all budgets and the golf courses are fantastic (but too many to choose from).

“ My 21 year-old son and I spent four nights at the Renaissance Esmeralda this summer for just £144 - an amazing deal through Travel Republic. The hotel was everything you would expect from a 5 star establishment: the room was spotlessly clean with gloriously comfortable beds (there was, however, no mini bar, but a fridge was provided free of charge the moment we requested one); complimentary fruit and iced drinks were provided in lobby areas and the well-equipped fitness room; staff were very attentive and friendly; and the pool area was large, with good service (pool bar!) and plenty of sunbeds. To cap it all, the food in the restaurants was excellent. This hotel would have been good value at twice the price. Highly recommended.
