“ This was the first time we have stayed in a house when abroad. We have always stayed at a hotel or appartment, but it was perfect. There was plenty of room especially with two children and all their clutter! There was a kitchen/dining room/lounge downstairs, along with a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Upstairs there was a double bedroom and two twin beds. There is also a bathroom. The kitchen is fully contained. The pool was heated and great for a relaxing day. I would highly recommend this accommodation and wouldn't hesitate to stay here if we visit Florida again.

“ Very pleased with our 2 week stay. Location is excellent, a 3 min walk to the 192, and half a dozen decent restaurants (Ruby Tuesdays, Macaroni Grill, Chillis etc) which makes a difference, not having to drive everywhere for dinner, and able to have a couple of beers with dinner. Walmart 2 min drive, Buena Vista Mall less than 5 mins, as is Old Town. As I said, fantastic location, in my opinion.
Apartments are decent, what you'd expect for a 4 star townhouse, with full kitchen, en-suite off main bedroom etc. The pool is ok, as is the clubhouse, and the computer room is good for the kids, especially when you're happy to be keeping them out of the sun for an hour.
We had one problem on our stay, as our dryer had a fault and was marking our clothes. A part was ordered, but hadn't arrived within a week, but the guys helped us out by letting us use an empty apartment and use the dryer in there. Not ideal, but a good solution to the problem, and the guys were very good, even getting our clothes from the other apartment and returning the dried clothes to our place twice. We also got a nice apology from the main desk when we checked out, which makes a difference, and all in all, it didn't dilute our very good impression of the Lucaya experience.
It's a gated community too, which always makes you feel that bit safer, and the apartments don't have keys, all working from a combination lock.....quite good as you don't worry about the kids losing keys.
We've been going to Florida for 15+ years now, and for the value for money, coupled with a great location, this one is hard to beat. No question we'd return here in the future, if they keep the prices in this range.

“ Top Tip: Ruby Tuesdays a 5 minute walk, and some great wines starting at $15 a bottle. No point not needing to drive, and not making the most of it! Their ribs are fab too!
Also...for Nike....they have stores everywhere, but turn left on 192, go 3-4 miles and their Clearance Outlet is on the left. Outstanding deals..... picked up $150 golf shoes for $22!
