Dolphin Beach Resort Hotel

“ Hotel was very busy as they had two wedding parties in attendance and we had to wait till half past four for room to be ready, which after a long drive was not ideal. Room was large had fridge and microwave. Hotel was located directly on beach, pool was great, pool surrounding were clean and comfortable. There was an on site restaurant (did not us, but looked quite nice and had a good choice on the menu).
Directly opposite the Dolphin shopping complex that has a supermarket, pharmacy, and a few restaurants.

“ Top Tip: If you cross the road to the Dolphin shopping centre to the left of the shops there a various boat trips, there is an evening sunset trip on a sailing boat that leaves an hour before sunset the whole trip last about two and a half hours and was only $40. Highly recommended.

“ The hotel was excellent and was in a really nice location - Would definitely stay here again!

“ I found that all our needs were met. Rooms spacious and well furnished. Rooms overlooking boulevard are mainly overlooking side car park. Refrigerator in room. Ice and drinks machine in corridor. Air conditioning quite loud but worked fabulously. Tea and coffee supplied within room although no milk. Receptionist very helpful indeed. All our needs were met. Restaurant has some really very pleasant waitresses who want you to enjoy the food...although some nights quiet with few eating in hotel, as there are plenty of different types of restaurants along the boulevard.Fabulous locality on the beach with its own pool. However, poolside sunchairs are bolted to the floor - very restrictive to sunbathe on. Sunloungers and cabanas on beach are charged for.

“ Top Tip: Take a bus down to John's Pass or Madeira Beach, both deserve a visit. Suggest buy $20 bus pass which lasts for a week and can use bus as many times as you like. Takes 8 mins to Maddy's corner (terminal), then change bus and only 1 hour (fabulous sights and is the coastal holiday bus) up to Clearwater Beach. Go early and come back late.
Gigis italian restaurant recommended (400yds to right)and the pizza restaurant across boulevard have a fabulous choice. Hotel has their own beach bar which offers excellent burgers and food. Many steak and burger restaurants, however, still found the hotels own restaurant served excellent hot rolls with soup and salad to accompany their meals, and price was very good value with excellent variety.

“ We had a fab time. Our room on arrival only had 1 bed and there was 3 of of us! However, reception staff apologized and moved us immediately. Although this hotel was a little old fashioned, it was clean and staff were very pleasant. The location was perfect! The pool was situated directly next to the beach! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ther was a supermarket directly opposite and plenty of restaurants close by.
