“ Our hotel stay was great, the staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and well equipped. The hotel in on the beach, and is an ideal base to explore the area, or just to hang out in. There are bars and restaurants nearby. There is an IHOP on site or a good italian restaurant serving food all day across the road. We also enjoyed a round of crazy golf over the road too.

“ we stayed at this hotel for one night during our holiday in Orlando. It was perfect in every way!! It was refurbished in January 2008, and the quality of the rooms are excellent and decorated in warm colours, has very comfy beds, flat screen TV, balcony with chairs and a table, a table and chairs in the room, bathroom with toiletries, plenty of drawer space, a wardrope, ironing board and iron etc. The reception staff are helpful and polite, complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, a swimming pool with loungers and pool towels also are provided for guests to use and its own private beach with free loungers. It also has a beach bar to enjoy. An IHOP is attached to the hotel, handy for breakfast, lunch etc. You are given a parking voucher upon check in to put in your car as cars without them may be towed away. across the road is a Walgreens, a few gift shops and the Gondalier restaurant which serves excellent food. a few minutes walk away you come to Clearwater main beach, $18 for 2 loungers and a parasol. Pier 60 is also along there, traders sell their wares on the pier. We had a great overnight stay away from the bustle of Orlando and got such an excellent deal from Travelrepublic. We will be using this hotel again on our future trips to Florida.
“ Top Tip: you can see dolphins swimming in the sea from the hotel's private beach!! very close to Clearwater main beach and Pier 60. This is a top hotel in a lovely beach town resort!!

“ We were very pleased with the Hibiscus suites in Sarasota. They were very clean and well maintained. the continental breakfast offered was very good, a selection of bagels, danish pastries , coffee and juice which were in reception and you just helped yourself and took it to your room. All in all a nice place to stay.
“ Top Tip: We travelled to a few locations along the west coast and found the beaches in sarasota to be the best especially siesta key.

Staff on reception were extremely efficient and very helpful - to the extent that they printed off best routes to Florida attractions for us.All day tea and coffee available here and an IHOP which was open 24 hours a day.
The room ( they had all been freshly redecorated in Jan 2008 ) was large, had a king size bed,fridge/microwave as well as a table and chairs.We had a balcony - described as a city view - which allowed us to see the water as well as the city and a splendid air conditioning system.Nice bath/shower area.The room was very clean and comfortable. The maid service came in daily and did a great job.
The Tiki Bar down by the pool ( great for kids ) was a really nice place to relax after the stress of a day on the beach.The beach was literally just next to the pool.
An excellent hotel for a Clearwater beach holiday.

Top Tip:
Clearwater is a great resort for a relaxing beach holiday and, if you can tear yourself away from the hotel beach, then Clearwater beach is only a few hundred yards away with good facilities.
For a basic ( but very filling meal ) try the Post Corner restaurant and for a very nice meal go to the Beachcomber.
